About Me
Hi, I’m Marina Andaluz-Bates, BSM, LM, CPM — licensed midwife, Certified Professional Midwife, and home birth mother of two.
I founded Leona Holistic Midwifery Services to provide personalized, holistic care for families seeking a safe, supported, and empowering home birth experience.
A graduate of the Midwives College of Utah with clinical training at Balance, I bring years of experience as a labor and delivery surgical tech and a deep understanding of birth from my own home birth experiences.
I believe birth is a sacred rite of passage, not just a medical event. My relationship-centered, evidence-based approach honors your body’s innate wisdom while supporting informed choice, autonomy, and shared decision-making. My care also emphasizes nutrition, gentle movement, and lifestyle practices to nurture a healthy pregnancy and birth.
When laboring woman feel safe, seen, and supported, birth can unfold as it was designed to—powerful, intentional, and deeply meaningful. I am honored to witness and protect this sacred space, supporting not only physical well-being but emotional and spiritual wholeness as well.
